Fans of Resident Evil can step into the terrifying world of the series this autumn as Tokyo hosts THE WORLD OF BIOHAZARD 30th Anniversary Exhibition, a large-scale exhibition marking three decades of the survival horror franchise.
Running from October 30 to December 24, 2026, the exhibition will take over BEAM Gallery at Shibuya BEAM, bringing the series' characters, creatures, locations, and stories to life through immersive spaces, video, sculptures, and development materials.
The exhibition is designed to let visitors relive some of the events and horrors experienced by the series' protagonists, with exhibits presented at a realistic scale to create the feeling of stepping inside the game itself.
Among the highlights is the "Evidence of Fear" area, which explores the viruses, parasites, and fungi that have driven many of the series' storylines. The "Virus of Beginnings" section will focus on the infamous t-virus developed by Umbrella Corporation, alongside creatures transformed by the various infections.
Another major section celebrates the protagonists who have faced the series' monsters and villains over the years. It will feature detailed displays of the characters, as well as a life-size 3D sculpture of Leon S. Kennedy.
Visitors can also check out THE WORLD OF BIOHAZARD Theater and pick up commemorative merchandise. A limited-edition ticket includes a framed set of pins featuring the exhibition logo and artwork from 19 Resident Evil titles, from the original game through to Resident Evil: Requiem.
