Meiji Jingu Shrine: Photos

A truly beautiful Shinto shrine

Meiji Jingu is a beautiful Shinto shrine with a long history, located close to Harajuku Station and Yoyogi Park. It is dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and his wife Empress Shoken. The shrine makes for a nice 2-hour visit and with its lush forests, brooks and quiet atmosphere, it really makes you feel like you were away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
