Sakura in Hitsujiyama Park, Saitama

Chichibu's amazing cherry blossom viewing spot

Due to the fame of its shibazakura flower fields that peak in mid-April to early May, the 1000 cherry trees of Saitama's Hitsujiyama Koen are often overlooked. Located a short walk from Seibu Chichibu Station, this park has one of Kanto's loveliest (and quietest) cherry blossom displays. These photos were taken around April 10th, when both sakura and some shibazakura could be enjoyed.
