Tokyo DisneySea, ouvert depuis septembre 2001 est l'un des deux parcs à thème du Tokyo Disney Resort. Le parc a tout de suite joui d'une grande popularité, devenant le parc à thème le plus rapide au monde à atteindre la barre des 10 millions de visiteurs. C'est le quatrième parc à thème le plus visité au monde, avec environ 14,7 millions de visiteurs en 2018.
DisneySea a la particularité d'être inspiré des mythes et légendes de la mer. Il se compose de plusieurs zones thématiques : Mediterranean Harbour, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lonely River Delta, Harbour Discovery et American Waterfront.
Tokyo DisneySea est situé dans la préfecture de Chiba et donc en dehors de Tokyo, mais le parc est toutefois facilement accessible en transports en commun.

Tokyo DisneySea is the second park that Southern California could have had instead of California Adventure. It boasts seven uniquely themed areas or “ports of call” on 176-acres located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture and is geared more towards an older audience having faster, more thrilling, and even romantic rides throughout its nautical themed park.
I was mesmerized by the bright colors and designs of the rides as well as how much thought was put into the detail of each part of the park. There's a variety of foods and snacks and an amazing fireworks and light show in the evening, it was wonderful in its subject matter and ambiance. I would recommend this park to anyone that's coming to visit Tokyo and is interested in being taken away to a different world for a day, and have lots of fun with their family.
