Running for almost 60 years now, the Sakaide Ohashi Festival is a multi-day summertime affair which boasts parades, dance performances, taikodai (taiko drum float) competitions, and a fireworks display to cap everything off with.
If you do plan on attending, please note that the operating hours and activities differ on each day of the 2025 event:
- August 1st (Friday):
- 10am – 2pm | 4pm – 9pm : food booths and stage events, outside JR Sakaide Station
- August 2nd (Saturday):
- 4pm – 5:20pm: Great Seto Bridge Parade (JR Sakaide Station, Ekimae Hanamizuki Square)
- 5:25pm – 6:50pm: Dance performances (JR Sakaide Station, Sakaide Civic Hall )
- 6pm – 9pm: 'Doyou-day' – (Sakaide Shopping Street)
- 7pm – 8pm: Sou-odori main dance (JR Sakaide Station, Ekimae Hanamizuki Square)
- August 11th (Tuesday, National Holiday): 20:00–20:30 – fireworks display, Sakaide Port Central Wharf
Getting tickets
Tickets are now sale, with two potential options:
- Pair seating (2 chairs): ¥6,000 yen (tax included)
- Table seating (1 table, 4 chairs): ¥20,000 yen (tax included)
