Temple Ninna-ji

Le temple Ninna-ji a est un temple bouddhiste fondé en 888 dans le nord-est de Kyoto et est étroitement associé à la famille impériale du Japon. C'est le temple principal de l'école Omuro de la secte Shingon du bouddhisme japonais. Il existe de nombreux temples de l'école Omuro à travers le Japon et de nombreux prêtres de ces temples viennent à Ninna-ji pour assister aux services bouddhistes et pour étudier et se former dans le temple principal de leur secte. Ninna-ji est connu non seulement pour le bâtiment lui-même, mais également pour son emplacement privilégié en tant que point de vue idéal sur la floraison des cerisiers en retard. Il possède également un magnifique jardin japonais à partir duquel vous pourrez voir la célèbre pagode de cinq étages. A partir du temple Ninna-ji commence le pèlerinage d'Omuro, une version plus courte du pèlerinage de Shikoku. Cet itinéraire peut être parcouru en environ deux heures à pied, mais cela n’enlève en rien son importance et sa signification spirituelle.
