鎖国終焉の1858（安政5）年に、港ヨコハマの歴史は幕を開けた。1995（平成7）年に完成した大さん橋国際客船ターミナルは、建物全体が、まるで鯨のようなユニークな形をしている。通称『くじらのせなか』は緩やかなカーブを描くウッドデッキと芝に覆われていて、そのデッキに立てば、どこまでも青い空の下、雄大な海を前に、燦々と降り注ぐ陽の光を浴びて爽快だ。昼下がり、潮風を感じながらのんびりと海を眺めるのもいい。西にはみなとみらいの高層ビル群。夕闇迫る頃から、ロマンチックな夜景が宝石の輝きを放つ。このシリーズのインデックスはこちら。
